JAWS does not read the Heading correctly for Report portal

Summary



JAWS 18 does not read the titles in the Report Browser and Report Viewer as 'heading level 1'.

Scenario 1:

For the Report Browser, JAWS reads the title as '<title> - heading level 2'.

Scenario 2:

For the Report Viewer, JAWS reads the report title as '<title> - frame'.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Start JAWS.
  2. On the Internet Explorer 11 browser, launch the Case Manager portal.
  3. Click Reports from the left navigation panel
  4. Click or tab to the 'Showing recent reports'. This must be read as 'Heading level 1'. However, JAWS reads this as 'Heading level 2'.
  5. Run any report and tab to its title. This must be read as 'Heading level 1'. However, JAWS reads it incorrectly.


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.


Resolution



Scenario 1:

Apply HFix-53082.

Scenario 2:

Perform the following local-change:
  1. Save As the pyReportEditorHeader to the Application ruleset.
  2. Open Dynamic Layout 1.1.
  3. In the Presentation tab, click 'Display Advanced Presentation options' and add a Custom CSS class (for example, addaria).
  4. Save As the UserWorkForm to the application ruleset and add the below code.
