Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
This issue is not faced in the designer studio and in the case manager when launched from the system when logged in as ootb operator ([email protected]/install).

Here the difference is that in ootb login the case manager rules of Pega-EndUserUI ruleset is picked. Where as in user's application the rules of UI-Kit are referred.

In the UI kit the icon placement is causing the issue. Please find below the section rules showing the placement of icon in both working and non working scenarios.

UI kit (Issue scenario):

Designer studio(Working scenario):

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:

Now the rule, pySearchFieldWorkresponsive of UI-kit is avaialble, so just dragging the icon and placing it at the extreme right in the dynamic layout like in the designer studio screen shot shown above will fix the issue.

Else one can use the casemanager harness of Pega-EndUserUI ruleset also.

BUG-291139 is raised to fix this in future Pega releases.
