Loading Many OOTB Files to Client Takes Long Time



Performance degrades when downloading the out-of-the-box JavaScript and CSS files.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in to the following URL: http://localhost:443/prweb/PRServlet using the login credentials.
  2. Launch the Loan Application portal
  3. In the menu, select Credit Facility > Amendment.
  4. Search for CustName.
  5. Select the CIF Number.
  6. Select the Case ID.
  7. Enable Developer Tools (F12) and trace the Network traffic by clicking the Proceed button until the next screen renders.

Root Cause

This behavior is as per Pega product design
The number of files (JavaScript or CSS) which are downloaded from the server is as per design. They are not downloaded the the second time if browser cache is available.


As a local-change, uncheck 'Always refresh from server' button on DevTools.
