SA-12213

Summary

User had a navigation menu in PRPC 6.2, They recently upgraded to 7.1.6. This menu option was working fine in 6.2 and was launching the local action. But now, after they upgraded to 7.1.6, the functionality is not working whenever they modify the rule. When ever they try to use the option "Open Local Action", it gives an error "Local Actions can be performed on while performing assignments".

Error Messages

Local Actions can be performed on while performing assignments.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a navigation rule in 6.2. User Open local action.
2. Move the rule to 7.1.6. Add another item and try to use open local action and Run.

Root Cause

This is an expected behavior. Local actions configured on buttons/menu items with a "Replace Current" configuration work only in the context of performing assignments. However local actions configured with a "Modal Dialog" option do show up.

Resolution

User changed the current configuration to current window and usecase worked as expected.
