SA-13030

Summary

The local action drop-down is not getting populated as expected from the Bulk Action functionality in the pyCaseManager portal. Though a local flow action can have a when rule applied in the security tab to limit its display. It still appears that the Bulk Action local actions drop down list.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a local flow action.
  2. Add a when rule (that is always false) in the security tab of the of the local action.
  3. Select the assignment from the Bulk Actions feature in the manager portal, the local action is still displayed.

Root Cause

The behavior is as designed.

Resolution

The explanation for this behavior is as follows:
In bulk processing the user can select a large number of work objects.
To evaluate a when rule for each potential local action, the system must open every work object.
This creates performance issues. As a result the when rules are not evaluated.
