logfile overload INFO messages: "Agent info updation failed"

In the PegaRULES log, there are about 8,000 INFO messages per hour that state: "Agent info updation failed, its normal during engine shutdown."

These messages started generating after a release (with a stop and start of the application server) was performed.  The messages stopped generating after restarting the server one or two times.

Error Messages

2015-09-30 00:00:51,928 [workmanager_PRPC : 11] [ STANDARD] [ PegaRULES:07.10] ( internal.async.AgentQueue) INFO - Agent info updation failed, its normal during engine shutdown.

Steps to Reproduce

There is no specific use case to reproduce this behavior

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. The issue is resolved in Pega 7.1.8.

Unfortunately the code catches Throwable and provides no details on what the exception was. In the latest versions infoForced is removed and the message is updated in debug log.

Apply HFix-24348.
