Logging error during server restart

Summary



Post upgrade to Pega 7.4, error is generated in the log during a server restart.


Error Messages



[server.startup : 1] [ ] [ ] [ ] (pegarules.resadap.RAClient) ERROR - Caught exception while executing Interaction Function, javax.resource.ResourceException: Function SET_LOGGING failed, unsupported Logger Level: ERROR


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Update Pega 7.2 to Pega 7.4.
  2. Perform a server restart .
  3. Check the system logs.


Root Cause



pradapter/logginglevel Dynamic System Settings (DSS)  was configured incorrectly.


Resolution



As a local-change, change the DSS setting prconfig/pradapter/logginglevel/default to INFO.

The exception occurred due to an unsupported logger level. For this configuration, the valid logging levels are:
  • Severe
  • Warning
  • Info
  • Config
  • Fine
  • Finer
  • Finest
