com.pega.pegarules.pub.services.ConnectorException: Caught unhandled exception: com.pega.apache.http.conn.HttpHostConnectException: Connection to http://pdn.pega.com refused

Steps to Reproduce

Install Pega and log in.

Root Cause

A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment. This server does not allow the Pega application to connect to PDN, which it tries to perform by default.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:

In the Developer portal, navigate to Records > SysAdmin > Dynamic System Settings. Here, search for "AllowAccessToExternalSystem" and change the value of this to be false. This prevents the application from trying to connect to the PDN during login.
