Maintaining the logic changes (versions) in CDM v6.8

SA-10005

Summary

Procedure regarding how the logic changes (versions) are maintained without using SubVersion (SVN) and if required how the old version can be used.
In Chordiant Decision Management (CDM) v6.1 the SVN is used to manage the versions of the logic. However, in the CDM v6.8 the versions are stored in database.

Resolution

1.Developer can commit the logic to SVN, CVS or any versioning tool and deployer can check out and create the Deployment Package (DPKG), import the DPKG into Deployment Manager (dma) ,create or update RealTime Project (RTP) and deploy.

2. If SVN is not being used then logic developer can send/share the logic/DPKG to DMa admin user. Import the DPKG into dma ,create/update RTP and deploy through DMa.

3. If any specific version of the logic is to be deployed from one environment of DMA to another environment, then Export the required DPKG version from source environment and import the DPKG into target environment, create or update RTP and deploy.
