Mandatory condition for UI fields does not work as expected

When a Required condition is a combination of both an Expression rule, using a property, and a When rule, the fields display as mandatory.  However, on Submit of an assignment, the 'Value cannot be blank' error message does not display.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure an assignment
  2. Create a flow action and a section with a repeating dynamic layout.
  3. Include another section in the repeating dynamic layout which has a field with the Required condition (combination of both Expression rule using a property and When rule).
  4. Click the Save button.
  5. Submit the assignment.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
For repeating structures, when a Required When condition is present on the control, the server does not send the validation Type as Required in the response.

Apply HFix-50318.
