Root Cause

A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment.

During business hours, size of data file for Pega table space is increased, which resulted contentions for user operations, until the data file size increase operation completed.

Make the following change to the operating environment:

- Implement a monitoring mechanism for data file size and schedule the data file size increase operations during off hours.

- If there are multiple data files for a table space, then these sort of contentions will be reduced to manageable level.
