Maximum number of open interactions

The scenario in question is about tabbed navigation in Custom Process Manager (CPM) 7.1.4 on Pega 7.1.9.

In the Section "CPMInteractionPortalWorkArea", maximum documents set to be created is 3.

After opening three tabs, on opening the fourth tab, one of the initially created tabs is replaced with the new tab.

This should not happen and user should get warning stating max tab has been reached.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Set the Maximum documents parameter in the section "CPMInteractionPortalWorkArea" to 3.

2. Launch the interaction portal. The dashboard contains previously created work Id.
4. Open two work Id's. These work objects open in separate tabs. ( Here, total number of tabs = 3, including the Home tab).
4. Open another work id from the dashboard. This will replace the third tab opened.

Root Cause

In the Section "CPMInteractionPortalWorkArea", when maximum documents is set as 3 and when fourth tab (new case) is attempted to be opened, the newly created tab/case replaces one of the already created or existing tab. This happens only when dirty flag is not set.

CPM-Hfix-28732 resolves the reported behaviour.

Note : CPM-Hfix-28732 inturn requires HFix-21430 and HFix-23799 to be installed in the system in advance.
