MDB Configuration in Pega 7.1.7

SA-19435

Summary

User is currently configuring MDB in Pega 7.1.7.

After clicking the deployment descriptor, user is getting the update ejb-jar.xml and in the below step it is saying, it generates prbeans_DD.jar which has jboss_ejb3.xml. User is not able to find this step, and requires to know how to connect jboss-ejb3.xml with the standalone-full.xml jndi.

If the deployment descriptors are updated, use the deployment descriptors from the generatedprbeans_DD.jar file (ejb-jar.xml and jboss-ejb3.xml) to replace the corresponding deployment descriptors in the Pega 7 application’s prbeans.jar file.

Looking for any sample xml file that has been configured for Jboss and looking for how to link Pega and jboss for MDB.

Error Messages

No errors or log entries, messages are consumed but no work object was created on Pega.

Steps to Reproduce

Create JMS MDB Listener and deploy, JMS Service.

Root Cause

Initial issue was in relation to JBoss or Tibco interface. This was resolved with JBOSS Support.
Consequently they moved onto configuring the JMS MDB Listener and JMS Service, and issue was on the wrong descriptor used.

Resolution

Resolve by altering the jboss-ejb3.xml:

<ejb-class>com.pega.pegarules.internal.etier.mdb.PRAsyncBoot</ejb-class>

Correct one:

<ejb-class>com.pega.pegarules.internal.etier.mdb.PRJMSListenerBoot</ejb-class>

This occurred when user copy pasted the PRASync format from the jboss-ejb3.xml.
