Message does not generate on Topic queue while running activity

User creates a Kafka connection to a confluent Cloud environment, data set pointing to a topic named PegaLAB_POC and an activity using data-execute on the data set with a set of temp values on the code-pega-list page. No message generates on the Topic queue while running the activity.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a Kafka connection
  2. Create a data set pointing to a valid topic
  3. Create an activity with Page-New, Property-Set, Data-Execute (Save) and Show-Page
  4. Run the activity

Root Cause

The Kafka data set which is defined does not have the Partition key. As a result, the data sent to this data set does not persist.

Perform the following local-change:
Map the relevant Partition keys while defining the Kafka data set.
