Summary
Application is configured with Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking and mileage calculation. However, mileage values are higher than expected.

Root Cause
A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. An issue with the Production. User is able to verify the values on the Clipboard and map the plot. Coordinates of this user are present in the JSON format. On plotting it, pin displays at Philadelphia which is far from the user's work location.
Resolution
Perform the following local-change:
Implement the below filters:
- Filtering based on distance: If the distance is greater than the defined distance threshold, it is considered as a valid coordinate, else, it is skipped
- Dups filtering: Maintain a GPS Dups table for the duplicate coordinates such that it does not add up to the summation logic for the distance
