Steps to Reproduce

  1. Build the Android app from designer studio.
  2. Install the app on the mobile device.
  3. Use LDAP url to login http://<server>:<port>/prweb/PRWebLDAP{n}. It fails with exception.
  4. Use default Pega URL http://<server>:<port>/prweb/PRServlet. Login is successful.

Root Cause

A software use or operation error.

By default, the offline REST service is set to use the basic authentication.

Users that use custom authentication have to reconfigure the default setting by opening the offline http service package and changing it to custom.

Perform the following local-change

1. Search and go into the offlineHttp service package.
2. Change the "Service access group" to the application's user access group (or app:Administrators).
3. Change the "Authentication type" to "Custom".
4. Set the "Authentication service" to custom type for example.
