MS Sharepoint 2010 SOAP Connectors giving Authentication Error
You are consuming a WSDL file for Sharepoint Intigration and using NTLM authentication. Sharepoint is running on an HTTPS port. You get the below error even if the user is able to access the sharepoint manually through IE by proving his credentials.
SOAP Service failed. Transport error: 401 Error: HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized
Steps to Reproduce
- Run the connector SOAP wizard and import the wsdl file
- Select a method for Test and testing the connection from "Authentication" tab.
The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules. The issue occurs because Pega internally uses Apache Axis 2 which does not support the NTLM v2 authentication.
This issue is resolved by using the JCISF library. See the following PDN page for directions: https://pdn.pega.com/system-operations/setting-up-connectors-for-ntlmv2-using-the-jcifs-library
