Multiple .tmp files created in Tomcat causing disk space issue



Pega is deployed in Tomcat application server and user is noticing 32 MB binary files with names like "+~JF5235995895052710194.tmp" under the Tomcat /temp folder.

.tmp file generated for each invocation to create PDF in Pega using '
PDFUtils.generatePDF()' API.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create PDF using Pega API - PDFUtils.generatePDF().
2. Notice the tomcat temp directory for the newly generated files with extension .tmp.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.


Apply HFix-20862 and HFix-24285.
