Multiselect fails to catch required validation

Summary
User adds selections to multiselect (required field), removes the selections and submits the form. Validation does not catch the empty multiselect.

Steps to Reproduce
- Configure a multiselect on the User Interface (UI) and mark it as required
- Make selections in the multiselect and remove all of them
- Submit the form
Root Cause
A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. The required_isfilled function is invoked during the form validation if the control is marked as Required. This function does contain a use case for the multiselect fields.
Resolution
This issue was reported as a bug to be remediated in Pega 8.4 patch release.
