Navigating to different page removes validation errors

SA-71438

Summary

Validation error icons do not display on navigating to a different page. As a result, unable to identify the errors and fix them.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a new Offer case
  2. Upload an Excel file with more than 20 total rows, with errors on 1 or more properties in multiple rows (distributed across the 20 rows and not just on the first 10)
  3. Open the Offer Data Capture assignment (after successfully loading the data without formatting errors) and click Submit. Page 1 of the list highlights errors in Subclass property on 2 rows - invalid values and page 2 of the list has no errors highlighted even though Subclass value = '20000' is invalid
  4. Navigating to page 1 of the list. The error icons do not display on the 2 lines with errors, even though the values have not changed

Root Cause

An issue in the custom application code or rules.

Resolution

Perform either of the following local-changes:
  1. Save the pyGridPaginator section which is an available rule in the rule set
  2. Write logic on the Next button to you call the validate rule so the errors display again. Alternatively, on clicking Next, when the list is refreshed, save the out-of-the-box available rule, pyPostGridUpdate, and call the validate rule
