Need to disable add row on Enter key

Summary
In a grid repeat, hitting the Enter key will add a new row to the grid. There is no out of the box option to disable this action on the Enter key only, and still allow adding rows via the '+' icon. In a row repeat layout, there is an available option checkbox "Allow Update" which accomplishes this. There is no equivalent option for grid repeat layouts.
The developer wants an out of the box option that will allow him to disable the "add row" action for the Enter key on grid repeats.

Steps to Reproduce
While in a grid repeat layout, hit the enter key. A new row will be added.
Root Cause
The product currently cannot be configured to disable enter key from adding a row in a repeat grid.
