New Application wizard fails create a CPMHC 7.12 application



You attempt to use the New Application wizard to create a CPMHC 7.12 application. You observe an error when you click the Create button. You are not able to create your application.

Error Messages

There was an error generating the application. Please contact your system administrator if the problem persists.
A Rule-Obj-Class could not be saved due to 1 error(s) on it: pyClassGroup: ** ClassGroup name must match the beginning of the ClassName

Steps to Reproduce

1. Start the
New Application wizard.
2. Enter values for the Application Settings, Business Objectives, and Case Types tabs.
3. Enter values for the Data Types tab.
4. Click the Create button.
5. Observe the error.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules.


The defect was addressed in Pega 7.1.7.
