New tables after upgrade to Pega 7 and using PAD

SA-18771

Summary

New tables being added in the PRPC data schema after the upgrade was done from PRPC 5.4 to Pega 7.1.8. For ex. PROJ1_FAVORITES, PROJ1_OMEGAPROJS, PROJ3_OBJECTDATA, PROJ4_OBJECTDATA, PROJ5_OBJECTDATA.

Resolution

Tables like PADUSER1_FAVORITES and PADUSER1_OMEGAPROJS are generated on the first launch of the Predictive Analytics Director (PAD) portal. By default, PegaDATA is used as a backing database for PAD. We can change this from the PAD landing page in Designer Studio ( Designer Studio-> Decisioning -> Predictive Analytics -> Predictive Analytics Director Settings).

Each project created by PAD user, three kinds of table ( OBJECTDATA, SAMPLES, DATASETS) prefixed by <<PADUSER>>sequentNO_. PAD is distributed with few templates on which user can create projects and hence developer see these multiple tables.
