No Directory/Folder exists at the location in BIX rule

SA-9652

Summary

You are trying to run command line BIX extraction and the Extract Rule is not saved with command line filesystem directory path.

Error Messages

No Directory/Folder is existing at the location

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a BIX Extract Rule for CSV format.
2. Specify a directory path under File Specification tab of the Rule. This directory path should not exist on the application server filesystem.
3. When saving the Rule, it will fail validation and Rule cannot be saved.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules.

Resolution

This issue is resolved by HFix-22003.
This code change allows you to specify output directory path using -P argument when running BIX from command line. The Extract Rule itself can now be saved with a '.' (dot) and the extraction path will be overridden with -P <output dir path>.
