No rules identified when importing with Localization Wizard

SA-35467

Summary

When attempting to import translated rules with the localization wizard, all rules are left out when importing the translation zip package.

The wizard reports 0 rules imported, 0 skipped, and 0 errors.

Error Messages

None, but the Localization Wizard shows the following screen after completing the import:

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Run the Localization Wizard on a ruleset that includes a control in a section with an ASCII control character in the label.
  2. Complete the TextToTranslate spreadsheet.
  3. Import the translation .zip file with the wizard.

Root Cause

A software use or operation error.

During the creation of a button, an ASCII control character (in this case, 127 - "Delete") was added to the button label.

This caused the Localization Wizard to fail when importing the rules without reporting any imported rules, skipped rules, or errors in the results screen.

Resolution

Removing the control character from the button control's label resolves this issue.
