SEVERE: Problem during method invocation (main)
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/pega/pegarules/internal/bootstrap/BaseLogger
        at com.pega.pegarules.internal.bootstrap.phase2.PRBootstrapImpl.<clinit>(

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Update to Pega 7.1.7.
  2. Use scripts that work in Pega 7.1.6.

Root Cause

A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment. The JAR files used by the command line scripts does not use the new JAR files from Pega 7.1.7 media. The file specified the wrong codeset version.

Make the following change to the operating environment:
  1. In Pega 7.1.7, there are four JAR files that come with media, which must be included on the classpath when running command line scripts:
    • jsr94-1.0.jar
    • prbootstrap.jar
    • prbootstrap-api.jar
    • prdbcp.jar
  2. Update file to set the property to the correct codeset version for Pega 7.1.7:
    • com.pega.pegarules.bootstrap.codeset.version.Pega-EngineCode=07-10-15
