= Not Appearing Properly in PDF generated from HTML

Summary



User observes the ≥ symbol is appearing as ? symbol when a PDF is generated from HTML (Correspondence rule).
User is converting through the use of the activity  HTMLToPDF.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Insert ≥ symbol into correspondence rule
  2. Generate PDF from correspondence rule using HTMLToPDF.


Root Cause



The font folder for the PDF generation wasn't specified correctly.

Resolution

Also:
  1. Mention the Param.pyPDFFontsDirectory = /app/pega/Fonts and make sure to provide chmod 777 to the fonts directory.
  2. Ensure the presence of times.ttf in the mentioned font folder.
