Notifications Preferences (Following Cases)

User requires to know the purpose of the "Notifications" option present in the pyCaseManager user menu.

Add Notification settings for a user, check where they are used.

Resolution



User notification settings for a case typed determine if a user will receive an email when someone posts to Pulse on a case that they are following, as described in the Communicating with Pulse help topic.

This requires an outgoing email account to be configured called PulseNotifications, or as defined in the pyPulseNotificationsEmailAccount data transform in version Pega 7.2.1 and later.

In the below screen shots for example the user is following this case type:


Another user adds a comment to Pulse on this case.



User recieves an email notification.
