Number format exception after update to Pega 7.1.8 from 7.1.5



Users are not able to create any cases because the application is throwing number format exceptions while executing flows. Application was working fine before the upgrade to Pega 7.1.8.

Error Messages

java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "551 SQLSTATE:00000"
at sun.misc.FloatingDecimal.readJavaFormatString(
at java.lang.Double.parseDouble(
at com.pega.pegarules.priv.FUAUtil.parseInt(

Steps to Reproduce

Create the case.

Root Cause

A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment
The sppc_data_uniqueid stored procedure executed by Work-. GenerateID Activity failed due to lack of required privileges.


Perform the following local-change:
Give the database user that the jdbc/PegaRULES datasource is configured with the required permissions to execute the stored procedure.
