Old auto-complete controls do not work after upgrade

SA-20343

Summary

No functional issues came up when the system was upgraded from PRPC 5.5 SP1 to Pega 7.1.7. However, there were user interface (UI) warnings like obsolete layouts, deprecated controls, and so on. The auto-complete control did not work as expected when the system was updated to Pega 7.1.9.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a section containing an auto-complete control in PRPC 5.5 SP1, and populate the property through an activity call.
2. Import this section in Pega 7.1.9, and check the behavior.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules:
JSON parse error occurred on the data-config attribute of the old auto-complete ( PRPC 5.5 SP1 ). The error occurred because it had a comma after comma, which is invalid JSON.

RESOLUTION
