Onclick events are treated as new interactions

SA-34493

Summary

When using Data page as source for Repeat Grid, any on-click event in the repeat grid is treated as new interaction.
Data page gets reloaded when ever 'thread level scope and Reload on interaction' is defined in Data page.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure thread level Data page as source for Repeat grid.
  2. Configure on click event for rows in Repeat Grid.

Root Cause

Expected behavior.

Resolution

Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:

In DataPage > in LoadManagement tab > Refresh strategy, reload once per interaction checkbox is checked.

So that for every interaction with datapage to get the data , datapage will be reloaded.

In Grid, first column user has a section include that contains a button with click event mapped to open Assignment with "WL.pzInsKey" that is a property of Report Definition that's mapped to data page.

So it is treated as interaction and is expected behavior
