Operator does not have access to application alias Application

Summary



Unable to login in to the User portal.


Error Messages



'Operator ID -- Unauthenticated or not available'
operator does not have access to the application alias'ApplicationName'



Steps to Reproduce

  1. Access the Pega application in the URL browser.
  2. Log in to User portal with user credentials.


Root Cause



The Operator pointed to an access group which had access to an application. However, the user accessed a different system to which access is not provided.


Resolution



From Pega Platform 8.4, in the Application rule, the Application Alias is configured with a URL for specific applications to which the default access group is pointed.

The Alias URL is localhost:port/prweb/app/applicationname

Perform the following local-change while accessing the URL:

Ensure the URL has the application name to which the access group is pointed.

If accessed with a different application name to which access is not granted, the operator is not authenticated in to system.
