'Optimize for reporting' does not auto populate exposed columns

In the DEV environment, four new columns in two database tables are exposed using the 'Optimize for reporting' option and data is populated to these columns.
On adding columns to the SIT and UAT databases, the databases are modified and columns are added correctly. However, values do not display in the report definition. The values are visible in the work object in the Clipboard. On entering a work object and saving it, data displays in the report definition for these work objects.

Root Cause

In the DEV environment, properties were optimized using Pega Designer Studio which executed the column population by default and populated the previous data.
However, in the SIT and UAT databases, a column was just created in the database tables, and which did not execute the column population. Therefore, though the property is exposed, the previous data is not populated in this exposed column.

Perform either of the following local-changes:
  1. Execute the column population using prpcutils.

Follow the instructions provided in the link:

  2. Execute the RecreateIndexesForClass activity manually.
