Optional processes not working correctly in stage processing

SA-100

Summary

Selecting an optional process in a stage results in the below error on the screen.

Error Messages

The stage that Update was defined on no longer contains Update.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Production Engineering portal.
  2. Open a software work object.
  3. Click Remove Software.
  4. Click Restore Software.
  5. Click Remove Software
  6. Click Restore Software.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules.
If the same optional process is launched at different times in the same stage, they all look same if you look in the stage history. When one of the flows completes, it will exit at the first instance before it finds the exact match in the history. It sets the wrong properties and hence there is a stage problem flow error.

Resolution

This issue is scheduled to be fixed in PRPC 7.1.7.
