Steps to Reproduce

  1. Begin upgrade process, following the Upgrade Guide.

  2. Update for data schema upgrade.

  3. Run Upgrade.bat --dataOnly true

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is defect/misconfiguration in the PRPC operating environment. The database user lacks a required permission to perform the upgrade.

This issue is resolved through the following local change: The database user needs to be granted the “SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE” permission.
