Summary

OOTB Repair functionality in Smart Investigate is creating attachments without link(orphan attachments)

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a Swift correspondence message. 
2. Try to Repair the message using OOTB repair functionality. 
3. Once the repair is completed, an attachment record is inserted into attachment table and there is no link inserted to Link table. 
4. Observe that an attachment without a link has been inserted.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
When we invoke Repair on an existing correspondence, 7th step of PegaSI-Work-AppCorrSetupRepair Activity is creating a record in the attachment table which doesn’t have a corresponding link in the link table. Similar action happens in AppCorrOpenForRepair during Repair Open for correspondence as well.

Resolution

Apply the HFix-24450 to resolve the reported behavior.
