Parameter Value not passed in DynamicSelect to an on-change act

SA-38338

Summary

User reported that the parameter value not passed in Dynamic Select to an on-change activity.

Having a DynamicSelect control on a property within a section and running an on-change activity on this property that takes input parameter (the selected value of the drop-down) does not work and the passed value is the latest available, that is, on first selection <empty value>, on second selection the <First Selected Value>, and so on.

Error Messages

Parameter is not getting passed to Activity

Steps to Reproduce

1. Insert Dynamic Select control. Link it to a text property and source the control through list view.
2. Configure on change activity to print the current selected property value in the Dynamic Select.
3. Take the value to the activity as a Parameter. The parameter is not passed to the activity in the upgraded system.

Root Cause

Change tracker feature is not available in the deprecated controls such as Dynamic Select.

Resolution

Change tracker feature is not available in the deprecated controls such as Dynamic Select.

Hence parameter value will take
<empty value> on first selection, <First Selected Value> on second selection, and so on.
