Part Quantity is not accepting comma as delimiter

SA-54758

Summary

The Pega Warranty app Parts Quantity property is a text field (pxTextInput control) and is not accepting a comma as decimal for localized languages like hu_HU, although that is the correct character.

The similar Labor Hours property is a decimal property and behaves as expected with decimal comma for EU languages, and decimal period for others (US, UK).

Error Messages

Not applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Use a European, or non-English locale (such as Hungarian), and enter a European currency format value (for example 200,0) in the Part Quantity field (which is specified as "Text" and uses the control pxTextInput).

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules: Parts Quantity was declared as a Text field in Pega Warranty application, and not Decimal as it should be.

Resolution

Apply HFix-42783.
