Pega 7.1.6 system hanging after installation



When trying to access a Pega 7.1.6 system, the login page comes up and you're able to login as [email protected] However, after login, any actions that users attempt time out and result in a "page cannot be displayed error".

Error Messages

Page cannot be displayed.

Steps to Reproduce

Login to Pega 7.1.6 and attempt to access a list of system operators : Designer Studio> Org & Security> Organization> Operators

This is just an example.  Any action taken times out.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect/misconfiguration in the PRPC operating environment. The database had significant performance problems.


This issue is resolved by making the following change to the Pega 7 operating environment.

The database was reorganized and full statistics were regenerated.
