In Pega 7.1.8 Subcases have pyID repeated in assignment label



In a case-subcase structure, after upgrade from PRPC 6 to Pega 7, the case label as displayed in the portal shows the pyID repeated in the assignment label.

Error Messages

No error message.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a subcase structure in Pega 6 application.
2. Migrate to Pega 7.
3. Create some workobjects and open them in Perform harness.

Root Cause

pyAssignmentsLabel control appends the pyID to pyLabel which in some cases may already contain the case ID.


This only occurs when using older portals or UI Kit versions.  It is fixed in Pega 7.1.8 and 7.1.9, when using UI-Kit-7:03-01-01 or higher, but may still occur on older portals in which case the following local change can be implemented.

The pyAssignmentsLabel is an available rule, so can be saved it into your application ruleset and updated to meet the requirement.  For this case remove the code appending pyID.
