Pega API to fetch assignments requires robot manager rules

SA-41816

Summary

The Pega API assignment activity (pzGetAssignmentDetailsInternal) in ruleset Pega-API:07-10-31 makes a call to pzNotifyRobotWorkBasketContainer. It should be replaced with pyNotifyRobotWorkBasketContainer, an extension point activity that is in the core platform, but overridden when the Robot Manager application layer is added to the stack. The impact of this issue is the Pega API Get Assignments REST endpoint will fail unless the user ALSO has the Robot Manager application layer in their stack.

Error Messages

RuleNotFound displayed in Tracer.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. On a Pega 7.3 system, route an assignment for any case to a workbasket that your operator has access to.
  2. Using the Pega API, call GET /assignments/next with yourself as the authenticated user.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.

Resolution

Apply HFix-36290
