Pega is defaulting an invalid date to 12/20/8963

When a date time property is provided with an invalid date, when the form is submitted the date is defaulted to 12/20/8963.

Error Messages

There is no error message displayed but defaulted to 12/20/8963

Steps to Reproduce

1) Provide an invalid date in a date time property.
2) Click on submit.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules.

Issue happens only when client side validations are disabled. i.e only on click of submit button validations are fired.

So whenever User enters invalid year in the format (i.e year greater than 4 digit)  "12/12/20142014" and clicks submit button. Server side validation gets fired and an date "12/20/8963" is getting set.

This issue is resolved by hotfix item

New hot fix HFix-10183 was generated for fixing the issue.
