Pega Guardrail Compliance score displays wrong Total Rules count

As a part of the Pega Guardrails Compliance analysis, when generating the Compliance score through the Landing page (Application > Quality > Guardrails), the total Rules count that displays is incorrect (that is, only 41 Rules is considered out of the 200+ rules in the application).

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Navigate to Dev Studio Landing page > Application > Quality > Guardrails.
  2. Compare the Total rules considered in the Score with rules in the Surety Application Rulesets.

Root Cause

A software use or operation error.

Perform either of the following local-changes:
  • Ensure that the 'Test automation settings' in the Application ruleset > Category is deselected.

  • Navigate to Application > Quality > Settings. Ensure that the 'Ignore test rulesets when calculating Guardrails score' is deselected.

If the above settings are selected, then the respective rules are not considered for the Compliance score.
