Pega Pulse on CPM portal not configured correctly out of the box

Summary



The Pega Pulse gadget is not configured properly out of the box. It displays an error on launching when logged in as the CASysAdmin user.


Error Messages



Pulse Gadget is not configured properly.


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in as CASysadmin.
  2. Launch Interaction Portal.
  3. Click on Pulse Gadget.
  4. On UI message shows up "Pulse Gadget is not configured properly"


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules: The section CPMPegaPulseContainer is not passing the Context parameter to the pxContextFeed section.

Resolution



Perform the following local-change: Update the section CPMPegaPulseContainer to pass the Context Parameter as "Operator" to pxContextFeed section.
