Pega REST Service is sending incorrect Content-Type

Summary
User is on Pega 7.1.6 and reported that Pega REST service was configured to send Content-Type in response header as application/json.
But Pega was sending Content-type as text/xml in the REST Service response header.

Steps to Reproduce
Execute the REST Service call. The Content-Type sent by Pega in the response header is text/xml where-as it is configured to send Content-Type as application/json.Root Cause
A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment is identified as root cause.
The issue was found to be related to external system initiating the REST request.
Resolution
Changes in the external system helps in resolving the issue.
