Pega search not returning more results



The user search for articles in Pega KM which calls activity KMSearchRD.
The maximum number of results returned is 10 most of the times. This activity calls a report definiton ContentSearch which pyMaxResults set to 10 by default. And this is a final rule. The user can't display more than 10 results.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch interaction portal
  2. Go to KM search
  3. Type keyword to search, for ex: "Test"

System returned only ten articles out of hundreds of KM articles.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.

In activity KMSearchRD at 
Step 5. the parameter pyMaxResults was set to 10 while calling ContentSearch activity. This activity is market as final, so user had option to customize it.


Suggested user to follow below steps.
  1. Apply HFIX-30923.
  2. Do 'Save As' for KMSearchRD into your application ruleset and modify Step 5. To change the pyMaxResults value as per your requirement
  3. Do 'Save As' of  KMGetTaxonomyListForContent into your application ruleset and uncheck the option "Enable Paging" under ReportViewer tab.
