Pega session hangs after showing email with href element in body

Summary
While processing an Inbound Correspondence case, the email body contained a reference to a WWW domain. In the HTTP request, the Pega server URL is replaced with the URL present in the email body. Hence, the system stopped working.

Steps to Reproduce
- Create an email which has a base tag.
- Generate the work object using an email listener.
- Perform any action (such as closing the tab) which has the email section
- When the email is rendered on the screen, perform any action (such as, closing the tab) which has the email section.
Root Cause
A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
Tags were not filtered.
The system hung because the email body contained the base tag (<base target="_self" href="https://e-aj.your.com/">) which explicitly added the WWW URL (from the email body) to the current window.
Resolution
Apply HFix-51302.
