PegaApp-Work is not resolving inheritance

While adding a new case type to an existing application built on Pega Warranty 7.11 on Customer Service (CS) 7.1.2, inheritance is not showing rules from the PegaApp-Work class, which is explicitly set in directed inheritance. Attempting to reference an activity from PegaApp-Work through a utility shape in a flow does not show the activity in the utility drop-down.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create an implementation work class.
2. Create a framework level work class.
Note: The implementation class inherits from the framework class. The framework class inherits another wrapper class XYZ. The wrapper XYZ class inherits from "Work-Cover-" and "PegaCPMw-Work".
3. Try to access rules in the "PegaApp-Work-" class from the implementation work class.

Root Cause

Customer Service (CS) did not directly point to Work-Cover until CS 7.1.3.

Perform the local-change to add case type processing in the coupled application stack is as follows:
  1. Create a class PegaCPMw-Work-Cover which is having directed inheritance to PegaCA-Work-Cover-.
  2. Update the framework class to point to PegaCPMw-Work-Cover instead of PegaCPMw-Work.
