PegaHC X12 rules do not follow standards

The PegaHC-X12-Data- subclasses that pertain to actual X12 segments do not all currently enforce maximum length requirements as stipulated in the X12 guidelines.

For instance, PegaHC-X12-Data-REF_ReferenceIdentification.REF02_ReferenceIdentification property is supposed to have a maximum length of 50 characters, however, the property has a maximum of 30 characters. REF03_Description on the same class should have a maximum length of 80 characters, however, it is unbounded.
