PegaHC X12 rules do not follow standards

Summary



The PegaHC-X12-Data- subclasses that pertain to actual X12 segments do not all currently enforce maximum length requirements as stipulated in the X12 guidelines.

For instance, PegaHC-X12-Data-REF_ReferenceIdentification.REF02_ReferenceIdentification property is supposed to have a maximum length of 50 characters, however, the property has a maximum of 30 characters. REF03_Description on the same class should have a maximum length of 80 characters, however, it is unbounded.

Review supplied rules for compliance with X12 standards.

Root Cause



The properties included in this framework needs to be updated to current standards.

Resolution



A specialized HFix package is available to update all properties to current standards. Please contact GCS should this package be required.
