PhoneNumber field not highlighted on tab out from previous field



Post upgrading to Pega Platform 7.3.1 with Pega Customer Service for Healthcare application, on tabbing out from the previous field to the Phone number field, the Phone number field does not highlight. This occurs in the Internet Explorer browser. However, this works in Chrome and Firefox browsers.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch the Pega Interaction portal.
  2. Navigate to the Member search screen.
  3. Use the Tab key to navigate to First and Last names, and to the Phone number fields. The Phone number field does not highlight or add focus.

Root Cause

A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment.
The field did not highlight in the Internet Explorer browser due to the usage of the USPhoneFormat Edit Validate rule and the Text type control.


Perform the following local-change:
  1. Use USPhone Edit Validate rule on the Advanced tab Settings property.
  2. Change the control of the property to Phone.
